Biography
Afamefuna Angus Eze is a Lecturer I in the Department of Economics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he has taught since 2018. He was born on March 8, 1991, in Ekoyi-Iheaka, Nigeria. He obtained his M.Sc. in Economics in 2021 and B.Sc. in Economics (Second Class Upper) in 2015, both from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and currently running his PhD in Development Economics in the same institution. He is married with one child and hold professional memberships with the Nigerian Institute of Management (Graduate Member), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (Student Member), and the Nigeria Economic Society (Full Member). His research interests span development economics, energy and environment, governance institutions, health, and finance. In addition to teaching, He has been involved in various research and survey data collection projects related to health policies, environmental development, and economic analysis. He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, focusing on economic growth, institutional quality, environmental sustainability, and social-economic development. He is skilled in data analysis software such as Stata, Eviews, and R, and actively contribute to departmental and faculty administrative responsibilities. His career reflects a commitment to advancing economic knowledge and promoting sustainable development in Nigeria and Africa.
